Here at the Specialist Painting Group we offer a variety of Blasting and Cleaning Services in Peterborough.  Our Staff are ICATS trained and fully conversant with the ISO 8501 Standards of Preparation. Abrasive Blast Cleaning can have an adverse effect on the environment if not contained correctly.  We ensure all of our projects are fully encapsulated and pollutants are effectively extracted and disposed of.

Our containment procedures also allow us to control the ambient temperature and humidity of the environment we are working in whilst providing our operatives with the correct protection from adverse weather conditions.Working closely with the Environment Agency on all issues surrounding Abrasive Blast Cleaning and providing our staff with the necessary training through the Industrial Applicator Training Scheme has seen us develop into a proficient and effective Abrasive Blast Cleaning Contractor.

• ICORR level 2 and 3 Inspectors on site allowing us to monitor our own performance and provide our clients with a professional level of quality control.

We at Specialist Painting Group have a duty of care to our employees, and we take this responsibility extremely seriously.  We follow HSE guidelines and complete the following medical surveillance on a regular basis for all site operatives:-

• Blood Lead level testing – to check that the employees are working to correct procedure when possibly exposed to lead.
• Lung function tests
• Skin checks
• Hearing checks
